How Often Should You Get an Eye Exam?

The American Optometric Association recommends an annual comprehensive eye exam for adults 18 and older, along with regular pediatric eye exams starting at 6–12 months, then annually from age 4 through 17.

Patients with diabetes, a personal or family history of eye disease, or new or worsening vision symptoms may need more frequent exams. Your doctor will recommend a schedule based on your individual risk factors.

If we are out-of-network with your plan, you may still be able to receive care at our office using your out-of-network benefits. Please bring your current glasses and contact lenses, if applicable, along with your insurance card and a list of your current medications. If you have separate vision and medical insurance plans, bringing information for both can help us verify your benefits and process your visit correctly.

No. Silver Lake Eye Care Center, led by Dr. Darran Kim and Dr. Katy Tan, is located at 10101 19th Ave SE, Suite B, Everett, WA 98208. Silver Lake Eye Clinic is a separate, unaffiliated practice located at a different address nearby.
