
Optometrist
Dr. Carlos Woc is a residency-trained optometrist providing comprehensive eye care with a focus on ocular disease management, glaucoma, dry eye disease, contact lenses, and refractive care. His clinical experience spans hospital-based care, academic health centers, ophthalmology practices, and private optometric settings.
Dr. Woc earned his Doctor of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry, where he graduated with BSK honors, was a Gold Key recipient, and was active in the student council.
Following optometry school, he completed a residency in Primary Care/Community Health and Ocular Disease at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham Health, East New York, where he received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of complex ocular conditions.
Prior to returning to Washington, Dr. Woc practiced in a multidisciplinary ophthalmology setting in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where he worked alongside ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide comprehensive eye care to a diverse patient population. He values building strong relationships with his patients and communicating in their preferred language. Dr. Woc speaks English, Spanish, and Cantonese, as well as conversational Mandarin.
Before becoming an optometrist, Dr. Woc worked in business and technology, serving as a finance project manager at Amazon, a consultant at Accenture, and an IT auditor at Deloitte & Touche. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, where he studied Information Systems and Accounting.
Outside of the office, Dr. Woc enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, watching movies, playing guitar and piano, and staying active through sports. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.
